Certifyd vs Certifier: an honest comparison
Both tools design certificates and badges, issue them in bulk and let anyone verify them. They differ in how they count credentials, what they cost and which tools they connect to. Every competitor fact below links to Certifier's own page.
The short version
- Choose Certifyd if you issue many credentials every month and want the lowest price per credential, or you work in English and Spanish.
- Choose Certifier if you need it to connect to tools such as Zapier, Moodle, Canvas, HubSpot or Eventbrite, a custom domain, a security certification, or a larger free allowance per year.

What it costs per credential
Dividing each plan's list price by its credential allowance gives a rough price per credential. Certifyd Professional billed annually is $468 a year for up to 24,000 credentials (2,000 a month), about 2 cents each if you use the whole allowance. Certifier Professional billed annually is $76 a month, $912 a year, for 1,000 credentials a year, about 91 cents each. These are list prices; your real cost depends on how much of the allowance you use, and Certifier's plan includes things Certifyd does not.

Where Certifier is stronger
- It lists many ready-made connections, so certificates can be triggered from forms, spreadsheets, learning platforms and event tools. Certifyd connects through CSV import, a REST API and webhooks, which needs a developer for anything automatic.
- It lists ISO 27001 on its homepage. Certifyd publishes no security certification today; it is hosted on Microsoft Azure with encrypted connections.
- Its free plan allows 250 credentials a year. Certifyd's free plan allows 12 a month, 144 a year, which suits a pilot but not a 40-person workshop.
Where Certifyd is stronger
- Every feature is on every plan; you pay only for volume. There is no feature ladder to climb.
- Allowances are monthly and large: 2,000 credentials a month on Professional, 10,000 on Advanced. Re-sending, re-downloading and verifying are never counted.
- Certificates, delivery emails, the recipient portal and verification pages are available in English and Spanish, for you and for your recipients.
